Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for Lexington

Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for Lexington
John Bobel
December 24, 2020

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Lexington and most of central Kentucky from 11am on Dec. 24 to 9am on Dec. 25.

Expect mixed precipitation. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze. In addition, wet surfaces will rapidly freeze after dark due to dropping temperatures.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact holiday travel. With temperatures falling into the 20s by the afternoon, wind chills will be in the teens and then drop into the single digits tonight into Christmas morning. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
