The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Travelers’ Advisory for freezing drizzle and black ice, which is in effect from 9pm this evening until 9am Tuesday morning.
Rain showers will transition to drizzle this evening, and as temperatures drop below freezing, freezing drizzle could cause slick and icy spots to develop on area roadways. Also, wet roadways from rain today could result in black ice. Bridges, overpasses, and sheltered hillside and valley locations are most at risk. Icy patches can be very difficult to see on wet roads, especially at night. Use caution if driving tonight or early Tuesday morning.
