Spring CERT Class Starts

160302_FirstClass_CERT_BlogLexington’s Spring Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) got off to a good start last night. Led by Shelley Bendall, EM’s preparedness coordinator, 15 people began their 9 weeks of study in emergency response. The class will conclude with a real-life emergency response exercise.

CERT classes include:

  • Basic Emergency Management
  • Light Search and Rescue
  • First Aid
  • Firefighting
  • Team Organization
  • Radio Operations
  • Disaster Psychology
