Lexington Set New Daily, Weekend Record for COVID-19 Cases

The Lexington Health Department reported 338 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend, including a new 1-day high on Saturday with 236. There have been 12,468 cases and 102 deaths total since the outbreak began in March, with 1,135 cases so far in November.

Three of the city’s highest single-day case counts have been in November:

  • 236 cases, Nov. 7
  • 181 cases, Nov. 5
  • 167 cases, Sept. 11
  • 155 cases, Oct. 30
  • 152 cases, Nov. 4

Please follow these guidelines to help protect others by slowing the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wear a cloth face-covering in public
  • Avoid close contact with others
  • Wash your hands often
  • Stay home if you are sickLexington’s COVID-19 numbers are updated Monday-Saturday at lfchd.org.
