Lexington Opens Golf Courses, Cancels Some May Events
John Bobel
April 18, 2020

Lexington’s five golf courses will reopen Wednesday, April 22, with some new social distancing requirements. Golf carts will be limited to one passenger, and tee times will be 15 minutes apart. Staff will sanitize carts between rounds.

Golfers will book tee times and pay for rounds on the City’s website, at www.playgolflex.com.  City courses are Kearney Hill, Lakeside, Tates Creek, Gay Brewer, and Meadowbrook.

Canceled events include the Big Band and Jazz concerts set for May 19 and 26 at Moondance; Southland Jamboree, May 28, at Moondance; and Friday Flicks, May 29, at Jacobson Park. The Bluegrass Classic Stockdog Trials, the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival, and the Bluegrass Birding Festival have already been canceled.

More information about Lexington Parks and Recreation events and activities is available at https://www.lexingtonky.gov/departments/parks-recreation
