The WINTER STORM WARNING continues until 8am. Approximately 5-10″ of wet, heavy snow has fallen in Lexington.
Due to the weather, non-emergency employees of Lexington Fayette Urban County Government do not need to report to work this morning until 11am.
Fayette County Public Schools are CLOSED for Monday, March 12.
The Fayette County Health Department will open at NOON today.
The University of Kentucky will operate on PLAN B. That’s a two hour opening delay for designated employees. Hospitals and clinics are open. Updates at www.uky.edu. No classes are in session at UK due to Spring Break.
In Lexington, there will NOT be any solid waste collection today. Residents will be serviced on Wednesday, March 14.
There are scattered power outages throughout Fayette County.
Lexington Police advise that if you can avoid driving this morning, please stay off the roads.
