It’s going to be a cold, snowy, icy week ahead

A quick moving weather system will bring a few rounds of light snow to the region Sunday night through Tuesday morning.   A light accumulating snow looks likely with 0.5-2″ possible.

Most of this snow would fall in the Monday afternoon through Monday night time frame.  Behind this weather system, bitterly cold temperatures are expected.  The cold temperatures and steady winds will likely cause dangerously cold sub-zero wind chills both Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.  While Thursday morning will still be very cold, it will be the beginning of a warming trend.
