Winter Weather Advisory in Effect Today

Winter Weather Advisory in Effect Today
John Bobel
November 29, 2020

A winter weather advisory is in effect from 4pm Monday to 7am Tuesday.

The first accumulating snow of the season is expected across portions of southern Indiana and central Kentucky Monday evening. Rain is expected to develop across the region this evening and then transition over to snow during the day on Monday. With temperatures expected to remain above freezing during the daytime hours, little accumulation is expected.

However, colder conditions are expected Monday evening as snow showers are expected to remain ongoing across portions of the region. With snow falling and temperatures below freezing, light accumulations are expected in areas east of a line from Madison, IN to Albany Kentucky. This snow will lead to negative travel impacts Monday night.

Snow is expected through portions of Indiana and east central, north central and south central Kentucky. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches with isolated spots of up to 3 inches possible.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
