UK Move-In Begins This Weekend

UK_LogoTraffic, out-of-town visitors, and a lot of tweets… like the fabled swallows of Capistrano, students will begin returning to the University of Kentucky this weekend.

If your plans include travel through the area of campus, watch out for increased traffic, limited parking, and temporary restrictions on some streets.

 

The full schedule of move-in windows is:

Saturday, August 13 9am-5pm
Wednesday, August 17 9am-5pm
Friday, August 19 9am-1pm
Saturday, August 20 9am-1pm

Affected streets include:

North Campus Martin Luther King Boulevard One-way southbound
Lexington Avenue One-way southbound
Lexington Avenue/
Avenue of Champions intersection
Right turn only
Avenue of Champions Closed to through traffic
South Campus Coooper Drive and
University Drive
Inflow routes for all
south campus residence halls
Huguelet Drive One-way westbound off University
Hilltop Avenue One-way eastbound
Woodland Avenue One-way northbound
Sports Center Drive One-way eastbound
