Special Weather Statement – Freezing Drizzle May Impact Wed. Morning Commute

Special Weather Statement – Freezing Drizzle May Impact Wed. Morning Commute
John Bobel
January 15, 2019

Low-level cloudiness will remain in place across the region tonight while a weak surface frontal boundary pushes in from the north. As this front pushes into the region, some very light drizzle may develop tonight. However, as surface temperatures drop to near or just below freezing, this drizzle could fall in the form of freezing drizzle.

The freezing drizzle could lead to slick spots on area roadways and elevated surfaces late tonight and negatively impact the Wednesday morning commute.

Stay tuned to NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio and your local media for the latest on this winter weather situation.
