Siren Testing This Morning at 10am

Siren Testing This Morning at 10am
John Bobel
July 19, 2018

Lexington Emergency Management will test its network of outdoor warning sirens TODAY, Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 10am. If you live near a park or golf course, expect to hear the outdoor siren sound a series of chimes followed by a voice announcement “This is a test”.  There will also be a brief siren wail.  This is for testing purposes only.

This is a scheduled test for new equipment installation – THERE IS NO EMERGENCY – THIS IS FOR TESTING PURPOSES ONLY.

Please do not call 9-1-1 about the siren test.

More information about the Lexington Warning Siren System is available at: http://bereadylexington.com/siren-faq/

This test may be cancelled if adverse weather conditions exist.
