Build a Kit

Get those you love prepared for Valentine’s Day!

Get those you love prepared for Valentine’s Day!
John Bobel
February 13, 2020

No matter who it is that you love, Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to show them how much they mean to you!

Being prepared for emergencies is nothing to brush off, and helping to get those you love prepared is something to be commended and appreciated.  Maybe an emergency kit doesn’t scream “I love you” as loudly as a card or flowers do.  Everyone will be appreciative that they are prepared when something serious is going on in their area.

Here are some items to give to start or update a personal emergency kit for that special someone:

  • Water
  • Food (Ex. Energy Bars)
  • Flashlight
  • Extra batteries
  • First aid kit
  • Moist towelettes, garbage bags and plastic ties for personal sanitation
  • Cell phone with chargers and a backup battery
  • Matches in a waterproof container
  • Paper and pencil
  • Books, games, puzzles or other activities for children

These are beginner items that should be found with relative ease at your local department or home goods store.  In giving these items, you are showing that person you love how much they mean to you.  Everyone’s safety is a top priority in the event of an emergency, so let’s get prepared!
