Flood Warning – Minor Kentucky River Flooding Expected

The Flood Warning has been extended to 2:30 am on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

 


The National Weather Service in Louisville KY has issued a Flood Warning for the Kentucky River at Ford Lock from Monday, Feb. 25 at 1 pm to Tuesday, Feb 26 at 7 pm.  At 6:30 am Monday the Kentucky River stage was 25.8 feet. Flood stage is 26.0 feet. Minor flooding is likely.

River water will rise above flood stage around midday and continue to rise to near 26.1 feet by this evening. At 26.0 feet, Flooding occurs in low lying portions of Fort Boonesborough State Park and other low lying areas.
